Mo Chairde Gael
I was asked about ideas to help with a person's Irish, especially speaking, so here is my response with a few ideas:
1. Reading is great e.g. one article a day on, for example Tuairisc.ie (https://tuairisc.ie/) - but it may not alone give you confidence to speak.
2. Listening to the radio or a podcast. I suggest
Raidio na Gaeltachta - Tús Áite (https://www.rte.ie/rnag/tus-aite/). I listen to it every week day as it is all conversation and is a current affairs programme. It is also a good mix. Iris Aniar, Adhmhaidin & a lot of other programmes can be listened to live or via podcast.
Raidió na Life - http://www.raidionalife.ie/ga/
Raidió Rí-Rá - https://www.rrr.ie/
Also..
Beo ar Éigean - https://podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/rt%C3%A9-beo-ar-%C3%A9igean/id1260470510
Nuacht Mhall - https://anchor.fm/cnag-ldn
3. TG4.ie - https://www.tg4.ie/ga/
4. Create your own simple phrase book - writing helps commit to memory - so short simple phrases to start. For example - Cén Ghaeilge atá ar .. what is the Irish for?
5. I try to get everyone to speak no matter what their level of Irish is. Speak and take your time and don't worry about anyone else.
6. Have a short script created for yourself to read out each week. A few sentences .. your obair bhaile so to speak.
7. One word a day - use focloir.ie (https://www.focloir.ie/) to look up a word every day.
8. Music - pick a song and learn the words - look at e.g. Youtube for traditional or pop songs.
9. The web .. search and you see there is a lot of Gaeilge.
10. Agus ... cleachtadh gach lá
